Arizona: Supplying the Next Generation of Talent

In just two years, Arizona has transformed bold ideas into nation-leading workforce solutions for the semiconductor industry. Through strong partnerships with industry, government, academia, and community organizations, including Intel, TSMC, Amkor, and the SEMI Foundation, the Arizona Commerce Authority has built a statewide model that is preparing a skilled, robust, and future-ready workforce.

Key initiatives include the Semiconductor Careers and Apprenticeships Network Arizona (SCAN Arizona), a scalable, statewide apprenticeship strategy now recognized as a national benchmark, and the Future48 Workforce Accelerator at Gateway Community College, a state-of-the-art training center featuring a mock cleanroom and hands-on semiconductor process training.
