The Digital Backbone is a platform for transparent interoperability between digital twins. This includes federated data management, standardized data class structures, and protocols for smooth digital communication and operational orchestration amongst disparate data and/or models. The SMART USA Initiative is championing the use of digital twins within the semiconductor industry to enable interactions across multiple industry and university organizations. This talk focuses on the why of digital twins for the semiconductor industry and how to interact with the SMART USA community.
