This study showcases the integration of Gradiant’s Semi-Batch Reverse Osmosis Infinity (ROi) system with the SmartOps AI platform at a semiconductor manufacturing facility. The goal of the wastewater reclaim system was to treat highly variable scrubber wastewater and maximize reuse as scrubber makeup water.
SmartOps AI enabled real-time monitoring, predictive cycle control, and adaptive optimization, allowing the reclaim system to maintain high recovery rates and reliability despite fluctuating feedwater conditions. The system recirculated reject water until conductivity or pressure thresholds triggered a flush and reset cycle, guided by AI-driven insights rather than fixed intervals.
Performance data was captured via SCADA, and trends in feed pressure and conductivity confirmed stable, self-regulating operation. This AI-enhanced approach offers a scalable, high-performance solution for industrial water reuse, demonstrating the value of intelligent automation in achieving sustainable and resilient water treatment.
