Dr. Ted Moise serves as director of the North Texas Semiconductor Institute (NTxSI) at the University of Texas at Dallas. The NTxSI focuses on research and workforce development activities to support the semiconductor industry. Ted earned a B.S. degree from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and a Ph.D. degree from Yale University. Ted joined the Central Research Laboratories at Texas Instruments in 1992 where he developed a variety of quantum-effect devices and circuits. In 1997, Ted and his team started work on the development of ferroelectric memory ultimately leading to the introduction of this technology into high-volume production in 2007. From 2007-2021, Ted led several technology development and product engineering teams at TI. In 2022, Ted joined the University of Texas at Dallas as a research professor and co-founded the North Texas Semiconductor Institute. Ted is an IEEE Fellow and NAI Fellow.
