Principal Architect
The Provenance Chain Network
Portland, OR, United States
Randy Hall serves as a Principal Architect at The Provenance Chain™ Network, a pioneering start-up
dedicated to granting people the fundamental right to know the facts about the products they buy,
consume and use because their lives depend on it. He is responsible for software and solution
architecture as well as leading the Electronic Datasheets Working Group in developing standards and
specifications to enable secure electronic design automation.
Mr. Hall is an accomplished and highly versatile technologist and leader with extensive expertise in
supply chains, e-procurement, e-purchasing, client and server software, and cloud computing solutions
for the semiconductor, telecommunications and pharmaceutical industries. Most recently, he conceived
and launched an industry standard for machine-readable data models for PC and mobile platforms in
collaboration with Google, Cadence, Nexperia, Nvidia and others. This addressed a long-standing gap in
design automation, significantly improving the ability to manufacture high-quality systems rapidly using
digital twinning and automation. As a leader of a global software engineering team at Intel, Hall oversaw
the development of Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes container-based Electronic Design Automation
(EDA) solutions, which resulted in reducing costly design errors, produced substantial cost savings, and
helped generate significant revenue for Intel's PC and Mobile business.
Mr. Hall has extensive experience in standards development, having served as Intel’s W3C Advisory
Committee representative, and helping standardize XML protocols that are in widespread use today.
Additionally, he led a team of Intel Labs researchers in standardizing the C# programming language and
the Common Language Infrastructure runtime in ECMA and ISO, which are used by millions of
developers worldwide today in thousands of solutions. His earlier work included architecting and leading
the implementation of Intel's first B2B solution to streamline supplier interactions, driving the
integration of e-purchasing systems, and delivering one of Intel’s first machine learning solutions for
system debug. Each of these solutions delivered enhanced efficiencies, sizable cost
savings and revenue.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Information Systems from Avila University, Hall holds
multiple patents and has contributed to numerous publications and events, underscoring his expertise
in platform configuration and electronic design automation.
