Raghunandan Mathur is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Xtrium, a deep-tech company advancing AI-powered materials intelligence for sustainable manufacturing and supply chain innovation. With nearly two decades of global experience across the U.S., Japan, and India, he specializes in high-performance computing (HPC), quantum technologies, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing systems.
At Xtrium, Raghunandan leads the design of platforms that integrate semantic knowledge graphs, graph neural networks, and quantum optimization to deliver application-aware materials integration. His work enables manufacturers to connect material properties, performance metrics, and supply chain intelligence into unified, autonomous decision-making systems, accelerating innovation while improving efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.
Prior to Xtrium, Raghunandan has held senior leadership roles at large organizations like NEC Corporation, directing HPC and AI initiatives for government, research, and industry clients. His portfolio includes collaborations with the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of Energy national laboratories, NASA Ames Research Center, and leading universities, delivering advanced computing solutions for aerospace, climate science, and national security.
Raghunandan is also active in STEM advocacy, mentoring students, early-career professionals, and startups at the intersection of AI, quantum, and advanced manufacturing. He has served as a guest at university-level quantum programs, been an invited panelist at quantum computing conferences, and regularly engages with high school STEM initiatives. He is a Climatebase Fellow.
An invited speaker at multiple international conferences, Raghunandan has delivered keynotes, panels, and technical sessions connecting frontier research to real-world industrial applications. His approach blends technical rigor with cross-disciplinary collaboration, focusing on solutions that deliver measurable performance, cost, and environmental impact.
He holds a degree in Computer Science along with advanced certifications in quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and project management. Across all roles, his work reflects a commitment to translating cutting-edge science into deployable, sustainable solutions that strengthen industry capability and competitiveness.
