As Vice President of Engineering/R&D at Lavorro, David Webster leads the definition and development of the company’s AI-powered platforms, advancing solutions that transform how the semiconductor manufacturing industry manages information to advance knowledge collection, distribution, and discovery.
David’s experience integrates internet-scale software development, operational expertise, and enterprise IT execution. He has built and deployed software solutions that leverage data pipelines for managing structured and unstructured data, feeding analytics applications in industries including educational technology, advertising, and semiconductor manufacturing. He has also led large-scale initiatives that align IT architecture with business strategy, ensuring seamless integration of cloud and physical data centers, enterprise applications, and secure data environments.
Prior to Lavorro, David joined Macmillan Learning through the acquisition of education technology startup Intellus Learning, where he was responsible for enterprise software development across three major product lines, including the widely adopted iClicker platform. As VP of Product and Engineering at Tumri (acquired by Collective), David helped pioneer a first-in-class machine learning-driven display advertising system that set a new standard for targeting and personalization. He has also held senior IT leadership roles at Yahoo! and Redback Networks.
David holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
