    Eric Bruce is a Staff Engineer at Samsung Austin Semiconductor. He has worked in the chip manufacturing industry for 20 years. Starting as an Equipment Engineer, he discovered a passion for creating standards and systems that simplify logistics and communication challenges. Throughout his tenure he has remained in the Diffusion department while also supporting fab wide initiatives such as equipment standard development, maintenance metric tracking, hardware improvements, and digital transformation projects.
    More recently, Eric has focused on improving parts traceability across the semiconductor industry. He joined SEMI SCIS in 2017, co-led the SCIS Traceability Group from 2017 to 2022, and co-led a SEMI Standards Working Group in 2018 that supported a 2D part label. He continues to support SCIS and Standards Traceability efforts for parts and material supply chains.
    Eric has a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego.
