    Tom Palmaers is the Chief Information Security Officer at imec, a global leader in nanoelectronics and digital technologies.

    In this role, Tom provides strategic leadership for imec’s global information security program, ensuring that critical assets—intellectual property, research data, partner information, and digital platforms—are protected in alignment with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and imec’s commitment to trust and innovation. He serves as the primary advisor to imec’s executive management and board on cybersecurity matters, fostering a risk-aware culture and enabling secure, resilient innovation.

    Before joining imec in 2019, Tom was a Director at Deloitte, where he led Cyber Risk services for technology clients, and previously served as Chief Information Security Officer at a major European ICT services provider.
