Senior Director and Senior Executive Technologist
ASM, United States
Angada Sachid is a seasoned technologist and engineering leader with over two decades of experience across academia and industry, specializing in advanced semiconductor materials, devices, circuits, and chip design research. He currently serves as Senior Director and Senior Executive Technologist at ASM, where he leads cutting-edge initiatives in semiconductor process technologies.
Prior to joining ASM, Angada held pivotal roles at Intel, including Principal Engineer and SoC Design Engineer, contributing to the co-optimization of technology, design, and systems to enhance overall performance. At Applied Materials, he served as Director and Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, spearheading research into next-generation semiconductor processes and devices.
Angada spent nearly seven years at UC Berkeley, first as a Postdoctoral Researcher and later as an Assistant Project Scientist, advancing research toward transistor and electronic systems envisioned for 2040. His work focused on next-generation transistor architectures, monolithic 3D integration, and novel semiconductor materials such as 2D semiconductors and ferroelectrics for negative capacitance transistors.
He earned his Ph.D. from IIT Bombay, where his thesis explored the interactions between technology and design to improve system performance in nanoelectronics.
