The risk to the semiconductor supply chain has emerged as a critical threat to the semiconductor industry, the US government and consumers of information and communications technology (ICT) products. This talk will address potential methodologies to increase the integrity of the semi supply chain first by identifying the steps in the semi manufacturing design and manufacture. From there a survey of threats and vulnerabilities to the semi supply chain will be identified, followed by a description of how to quantify these threats in consideration of the impact to the manufacturing process. Finally, I will discuss the role of traceability as a method of providing semiconductor integrity.
