Camille Platts-McPharlin, M.Sc., is the Program Manager of the Semiconductor for All (S4A) initiative at Boise State University’s Microelectronics Education and Research Center (MERC). She leads efforts to develop inclusive, hands-on semiconductor education and workforce development programs across Idaho, with a focus on building strong K-12, postsecondary, and industry connections.
With over a decade of experience in STEM education and science communication, Camille has worked in both formal classrooms and informal learning spaces. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Science in Science Communication and Public Engagement from the University of Edinburgh.
At SEMICON West, Camille will present “Chips for the Future: Building K–12 Pathways to Semiconductor Careers,” highlighting how early engagement and strong partnerships between academia and industry can shape a more dynamic, future-ready semiconductor workforce.
